Work with Entergy and other members of the Electric Cooperatives in Arkansas to install solar to the point that we will not only reduce, but eliminate electric bills in Arkansas, producing enough electricity to sell to other states.
Arkansas is the Natural State, and we want our families to know that their water will run, no matter what. We want to eliminate the water portion from your bill and let our families know it will run.
Internet has become as vital to families as electric and water, and we want to make sure every family has free internet in Arkansas, as well as free electric and free water.
Eliminate property taxes and sales tax on hybrid and electric vehicles for the life of the vehicle, encouraging consumers to get rid of fossil fuel vehicles.
Upgrade our infrastructure with Smart Roads that collect solar energy, provide free internet and be the building blocks for future transportation.
Introduce AR Care for Arkansas residents, not just AR Kids, but AR Care, which will cover all residents of the state.
Eliminate the Inheritance Tax and make sure food taxes are eliminated in Arkansas.
Eliminate Property Taxes in Arkansas.
Suspend Capital Punishment statewide.
Decriminalize marijuana.
I will not be bought by corporate money or persuaded by opinion. If it's not right for all Arkansans, it's not right for me. I'm working FOR the people.
STRONG SCHOOLS. STRONG COMMUNITIES. STRONG ARKANSAS
A platform built for every corner of our state — from the Delta to the Ozarks, from small towns to growing cities. Arkansas deserves leadership that listens, responds, and invests in the people who make our communities strong.
Education & Teacher Retention
Arkansas can’t build a strong future if we can’t keep good teachers. Schools across the state — especially in rural areas — are losing educators faster than they can replace them. Students feel the impact immediately through larger class sizes, fewer course options, and less stability.
My priorities:
Competitive pay that keeps teachers in Arkansas
Strong mentoring and support for new educators
Protecting rural schools from consolidation
Expanding career‑tech and vo‑tech programs
Ensuring classrooms have the resources they need
Rural Healthcare Access
Too many Arkansas families live hours from emergency care. Rural hospitals are closing, ambulance coverage is stretched thin, and mental health services are scarce.
My priorities:
Stabilizing rural hospitals and clinics
Expanding telehealth access statewide
Improving ambulance response times
Increasing maternal and mental health services
Incentives to bring doctors and nurses to underserved areas
Infrastructure: Roads, Bridges & Water Systems
Arkansas roads, bridges, and water systems are aging fast. Rural communities feel it the most — potholes, flooding, unsafe bridges, and outdated water lines.
My priorities:
Repairing rural roads and bridges
Modernizing water and drainage systems
Investing in flood‑resilient infrastructure
Treating broadband as essential infrastructure
Ensuring every county gets its fair share of funding
Agriculture & Rural Communities
Farmers are the backbone of Arkansas. They deserve support, stability, and a government that understands the challenges they face.
My priorities:
Protecting water rights
Strengthening crop insurance programs
Expanding market access for small farmers
Supporting the timber and poultry industries
Investing in rural economic development
Jobs & Economic Opportunity
Arkansans shouldn’t have to leave their hometown to find opportunity. We need good jobs in every region — not just the big cities.
My priorities:
Workforce training and apprenticeships
Small business support and rural entrepreneurship
Expanding manufacturing and logistics jobs
Incentives for companies that invest in Arkansas workers
Tourism and outdoor recreation development
Public Safety & Emergency Response
Every community deserves reliable emergency services. Too many rural counties struggle with slow 911 response times and limited EMS coverage.
My priorities:
Strengthening local EMS and fire departments
Improving disaster preparedness
Supporting first responders with training and equipment
Ensuring every county has reliable 911 access
Childcare & Working Families
Childcare shortages make it harder for parents to work and for businesses to hire.
My priorities:
Expanding childcare options in rural areas
Supporting early childhood education
Helping working families access affordable care
Encouraging employers to offer family‑friendly policies
Government Transparency & Accountability
Arkansans deserve a government that listens, responds, and respects taxpayer dollars.
My priorities:
Open budgets and public access to spending
Community input on major decisions
Local control for local issues
Clear communication from state agencies
Arkansas is full of hardworking people who love their communities, care about their neighbors, and want a fair shot at a better future. But too many towns feel overlooked. Too many families are struggling to access basic services. And too many decisions are made without listening to the people who live with the consequences.
I’m running because Arkansas deserves leadership that shows up, listens, and puts people first — not politics.
From rural healthcare and teacher retention to infrastructure, jobs, and public safety, our state faces real challenges. But we also have incredible potential. When we invest in our schools, support our small towns, and strengthen the services families rely on, we build a stronger Arkansas for everyone.
This campaign is about community. It’s about common sense. It’s about making sure every Arkansan — no matter their ZIP code — has the opportunity to thrive.
Let’s build a future we can all be proud of.
Gary has been part of his community for many years, working tirelessly to make it a better place. I've been involved in everything from Habitat For Humanity, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for St Jude Children's Hospital and starting a local food delivery service for needy families that delivered meals on a daily basis in Blytheville, Arkansas.
Gary Huskey knows the value of being connected. That's why I'm running for Governor For Arkansas in 2026. Two things I can promise you I will do as Governor of Arkansas, first, I'll fix it and, second, I'll make it easier for everyone. Our system of doing things is broken and needs an overhaul. That's what I want to fix. Secondly, because of the system, it's extremely difficult for Arkansans to get things done - everything from getting your taxes paid, your driver's license, or applying for SNAP benefits. My job is to hire the right people to help make the system easier for the people of Arkansas. In my campaign, PEOPLE come first and are the entire reason I want to be elected!
Let's fix it and improve it for everyone!
We can't win this race without your help. Flyering, word-of-mouth, and donating are all ways of helping achieve these goals together. We need volunteers in every community across the state to help the campaign. Sign up to volunteer now!

The people of Arkansas are the heart of my campaign!

We need you to get involved in the Campaign to help make a difference in communities across the State of Arkansas and help us elect Gary Royce Huskey as Governor of the State of Arkansas in 2026. Volunteer to help!
Gary grew up believing that strong communities aren’t built by politicians in Little Rock — they’re built by neighbors who show up for each other. From rural schools and small businesses to farms, churches, and volunteer fire departments, he’s seen firsthand how much Arkansas depends on people who care enough to step in when something needs fixing.
He’s worked across the state, listening to families, teachers, farmers, and first responders who feel like their voices aren’t being heard. Whether it’s a school struggling to keep teachers, a town losing its hospital, or a county fighting to repair its roads, Gary has always believed the same thing: Arkansas deserves better than being ignored.
Gary isn’t running to climb a political ladder. He’s running because too many communities are being left behind — and because he knows Arkansas can do better when leaders actually listen. His focus is simple: strong schools, reliable healthcare, safe communities, and real economic opportunity in every corner of the state.
He believes in transparency, common sense, and treating people with respect — even when they disagree. He believes government should work for the people who pay the taxes, not the other way around. And he believes Arkansas’s best days are ahead if we invest in the people who make this state home.
Gary is committed to building a future where every Arkansan — no matter their ZIP code — has the chance to thrive.
I'm Gary Royce Huskey, and I'm running for Governor of Arkansas in 2026, and I need your support. I'm 55 years old and ready to serve.
I was born in Batesville, Arkansas and went to school at Cave City, Arkansas and then college at Arkansas College before it was Lyon College. I'm proud to say I was raised on our family farm in Strawberry, Arkansas.
I've spent 35 years of my life in radio broadcasting in Fort Smith, Hot Springs, Blytheville, Mammoth Spring, Arkansas and more. You may have heard me on stations like Thunder Country 96.3 FM in Blytheville, Arkansas, where I've been operations director and program director for the past 14 years. You may have also heard me on KLAZ 105.9 FM in Hot Springs on the Big Daddy & Heidi show or B98 or KMAG 99.1 FM in Fort Smith, Arkansas or K-Kountry 95.1 FM in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. I also served as operations director and program director of ZFKY Rooster 101 in Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands for a few years.
Throughout my career in radio, I've been the program director/operations manager. This means dealing with both the personalities on the air, the sales, department, the traffic department and making sure the owner is happy. Basically, you learn to work with everyone and get along, plus find out what their needs are and try to fulfill those as well.
Being Governor of the state would, primarily, be doing the same job working with the House, the Senate and statewide business leaders. I'm a great listener and may not know the answer to every question, but I probably know someone who does or can find out.
I don't have a problem reaching across the aisle and working with Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians or Independents. As long as they are working for the people of Arkansas, we'll all get along just fine. When I was growing up, there was no draft and I went to college and never served my country. I would consider serving as Governor for the people of Arkansas, doing my service to my state and to my country.
Arkansas runs through my veins and I'm ready to serve. I was born in 1970 and didn't have the opportunity to serve in the military, and I would be honored to do my service to Arkansas and to my country now that I'm 55.
Please feel free to message me with any concerns or ideas. I would love to hear from you. I'm going to need a lot of help with fundraising and would love to be YOUR candidate for Governor! Share the site on your social media and help further the campaign!
The date is approaching fast and we’re making preparations. Don’t miss out!
